The Electric Energy chamber aims for a development of the electric sector allowing the efficient service distribution of electric energy, stressing on the diversity of our members, with an active involvement of actors from production including renewable energy, transmission, distribution, commercialization, market management and non connected zones. Among the specific goals we highlight:
- To establish a conversation with the sector´s actors and authorities.
- Develop the chambers capacity and define the association principles to promote public policies or sectoral framework changes, for the sustainable development of the sectors.
- Find solutions for the sector´s matters to achieve the formulation of public policies and regulatory suitable frameworks.
- Encourage opportunities for knowledge exchange regarding technical, regulatory, experience and sector´s information between members and stakeholders.
The Electric Energy chamber´s head is the Sectors´ Director who manages the chamber´s activities regarding the technical and regulatory processes about the sector´s normativity. He is also responsible for the Association´s interaction with other groups and energy sector´s actors, as well as different entities such as: Ministry of Mines and Energy, Chamber of Energy and Gas Regulation, Department of National Planning, Department of Mine and Energy Planning, Utilities Superintendence, among others.
